The language specialists behind Professa's training programs.

Alicja Serafinowicz

Alicja Serafinowicz

I'm Alicja — founder of Professa language school and an English language and business translation specialist with over 20 years of experience. I built Professa from the ground up into a school that has served some of the biggest names on the international market. I've made it my mission to help professionals communicate with confidence in English.

My academic background spans EFL, business translation, and linguistics, which took me beyond teaching — into quality assurance for building advanced, generative AI-powered tools and language models. When I'm not working, I'm almost certainly in the water — I'm a current Polish champion in underwater hockey and a member of the national women's team. I also surf because one water sport is simply not enough.

Hi. I'm Alina. I'm originally from Ukraine, and I'm currently based in the UK. I have an MA in English Language and Literature, and an MS in Marketing. I'm CELTA (2013), TYLEC (2015), and Delta (2016) qualified.

I have taught EFL classes online and face-to-face in Ukraine, Poland, France, Taiwan and England since 2009. I specialise in teaching General English, Business English, ESP courses, teaching young learners, and exam preparation classes. I've been a teacher trainer since 2018. I have given presentations at international teaching conferences in Ukraine, Jordan, and the UK. I like travelling and have a big collection of pencils.

Elena Kolesnikova

Elena Kolesnikova

I'm an English teacher and linguist with over 20 years of teaching experience, including more than a decade of working online with adult learners and professionals. Over the years, I've taught more than 1,500 students from different countries and professional backgrounds.

I hold several international teaching certificates and have also created a number of English language courses and learning materials. My lessons focus on practical English that students can actually use in meetings, presentations, interviews, and everyday communication. I particularly enjoy helping learners stop translating in their heads and start speaking naturally.

When I'm not teaching, you'll most likely find me cycling somewhere or training my German Shepherd. One helps me stay fit, the other keeps my negotiation skills sharp.

Agnieszka Myśliwy

Agnieszka Myśliwy

I am a philologist and cultural studies specialist with a focus on the region of the former Soviet Union. I started my career as a literary translator, but my passion for languages soon led me to teaching Polish as a foreign language.

Over the years, I have worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an investor relations agency, and a steel trading company. Today, I spend most of my time helping students communicate confidently in Polish and collaborate with leading Polish publishing houses and top language schools.

My teaching philosophy is simple: clear communication, an individual approach, and practical language use from day one. I encourage students — even beginners without any Slavic language experience — to actively use Polish from the very first lessons. My supportive, low-pressure approach helps students overcome the fear of speaking and build confidence step by step. Complex grammar and pronunciation challenges are introduced gradually and always in a meaningful context, with materials tailored to each student's goals and pace.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching police dramas and dream of one day running a guinea pig farm.

My name is Ola, and I am a teacher of Polish as a foreign language. I graduated in Russian Philology from the University of Gdańsk and completed postgraduate studies in Teaching Polish Culture and Polish as a Foreign Language at the University of Silesia.

As a certified examiner for both the state certificate and the telc exam, I have an insider’s perspective on the testing process. I specialize in preparing students for Polish language certificate exams at the B1 and C1 levels. I have helped many people pass their exams and achieve their linguistic goals. I am deeply committed to ensuring my students feel confident and comfortable living in Poland. I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without education.

I am interested in effective learning techniques and neurodidactics. In my free time, I read reportages about the former USSR countries, watch popular science content, and visit art galleries.
